Dr. Rebecca Lavene is a Board Certified Periodontist from Portland, Oregon. After graduating from Oregon Health & Sciences University School of Dentistry with a D.M.D degree, she was accepted into an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego. During her military service, she was honored with two Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medals, the Admiral’s Cup Award, 1st place at the San Diego County Dental Symposium, 1st place at the California Dental Association Table Clinic Competition and she has been published in the Journal of the California Dental Association.
While practicing general dentistry, Dr. Rebecca discovered her passion for the field of Periodontics. She was accepted into a graduate periodontal residency program in Los Angeles, CA, while also serving in the Navy Reserves. The specialty program focused on the diagnosis, management and prevention of periodontal disease, bone and gum tissue augmentation of the jaw and sinus as well as the placement of dental implants. During this time, she was awarded the California Society of Periodontists Research Award as well as the Robert Merin Leadership Award. While in private practice in Lake Havasu City, she received an Implantology award from Straumann and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontics & Implantology. As a Board Certified Periodontist and Dental Implant Specialist, Dr. Lavene enjoys membership with the American Academy of Periodontology, the American Dental Association, the Arizona Dental Association and the Northern Arizona Dental Society.
Dr. Rebecca is grateful to live in beautiful Lake Havasu City with her husband and children.
